A new Megan Thee Stallion music video is always a cause for celebration; not only do we get a new song to add to our playlists, but we’re also treated to a visual feast from start to finish. In the past, Megan’s videos have included clever nods to video games and vividly detailed, SFX-packed storylines about snakes shedding their skin. (Remember when she walked out of a snake’s jaws?) For her latest single, “Whenever,” the rapper looked to the surrealist art movement and wore an homage to Salvador Dalí on her nails, complete with 3D clocks that are a total work of art.

The “Whenever” video begins in a waiting room, with Megan playing the role of receptionist in bright red nails. The theme of time and waiting is repeated throughout the nearly three minute-long video, with a few shots of clocks scattered throughout. In one black-and-white scene, Megan actually plays a clock, standing in the center as the arms tick around her, and wears a clock-themed manicure to match.

The clock nails were handcrafted by Tahvya Krok, Megan’s go-to nail artist, and inspired by the work of Salvador Dalí. “I found the best way to bring the vision to life was to sculpt an irregular shape out of molding gel, and position it to hang off of the nail, just like how the clock is depicted in Dalí’s The Persistence of Memory,” Krok tells Allure. “I meticulously hand-painted each number on all the clocks, and made little 3D hands out of gel as well. I think these nails capture surrealism perfectly.” (The Persistence of Memory is a 1931 painting by Dalí and is considered one of the most important pieces of surrealist art; its melting clock motif is thought to be a statement about the passage of time. It currently hangs in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.)

The melting clock shapes were applied to two of Megan’s fingers, placed atop a long, square-shaped, shiny black base. Krok painted clocks on almost every other nail, including a circular Roman numeral design on Megan’s ring finger and a stopwatch style on her pinky. There are so many stunning little details that you’ll want to pore over every angle so you don’t miss a thing—just like a masterpiece hanging in a museum.
