Blake Lively is committed to Team Short Nails. The A Simple Favor star tends to keep her nails as short as possible, but that definitely doesn’t limit her nail art game. Case in point: the pretty, delicate manicure she chose for the 2025 Time100 Gala in New York City, which incorporates an intricate floral design on relatively limited nail real estate.

For the gala, Lively teamed up with her go-to manicurist Elle Gerstein, who has crafted all sorts of nail art for the star in the past—including an “antique grandma” set and a “cashmere mafia” mani at New York Fashion Week. Lively’s nails were filed into a short squoval shape and painted a sheer, shiny milky nude for the base. While the simple milky mani has been the top red carpet manicure for well over a year, Lively always likes to add a little pizzazz to her look, so she and Gerstein didn’t stop there. Instead, each nail was embellished with tiny, metallic gold botanicals. Each finger had its own specific design and placement, like a leafy branch at the bed of her ring finger nail and a more elaborate spray swirling across her middle finger, which added visual interest and kept the nails feeling fresh and fun. The gold nail art also picked up the same tone in her jewelry and looked lovely against her raspberry pink gown.
