My Review
First Impressions
So the packaging is really pretty. The lipstick is housed in a stunning Art Deco-inspired gold case, which is gorgeously light yet still feels expensive. The intricate mesh-like detailing adds an ultra-luxe touch, making it a lipstick you’ll want to show off rather than tuck away in your bag. And the best part? It’s refillable! A win for both sustainability and long-term value.
Formula – Skincare Meets Makeup
By Terry is known for infusing their products with skincare benefits, and Rouge Opulent is no exception. It is packed with peptides and hydrators and the texture is divine—creamy yet lightweight, gliding onto the lips like butter. It settles into a velvety, satin-matte finish that feels comfortable all day long, without any dryness.

Wear Test – Does It Last?
I have been wearing the 2 Bare Velvet shade and I really like the way it performs. It lasts really well on my lips and although it fades as the day goes on, it does so evenly.
The formula stays feeling really comfortable and it is easy to top up without getting cakey or clinging to any dry patches. It is nice to apply even without a lip liner, although I really like it with lip liner for a bit more definition. I have been using the Jones Road Lip Pencil with it.

Final Verdict – Worth the Splurge?
At £49, Rouge Opulent is undeniably a luxury purchase, but the combination of gorgeous packaging, high-quality formula, and refillable design makes it a justifiable indulgence. If you’re looking for a lipstick that does more than just colour your lips—one that nourishes, plumps, and hydrates—this could be worth the splurge. Refills are £34 and you can buy those and just swap them out of your main case if you want more than one colour.
