I had the opportunity to test out the brand new Dr Sam’s Flawless Brightly Eye Serum before launch and I have to say, I have been very impressed. Here’s what you need to know.

So I thought it would be interesting to show how this looks on the skin straight after application. I don’t really suffer with dark circles, but I thought sharing the instant effects on the skin would be helpful.

How to use it
You need half a pump for both eyes, and you just need to gently tap in to the skin both under the eyes and along the brow bone (just under your eyebrows). If you have sensitive eyes that water a lot like me, make sure you don’t go too close to the actual eye when you’re applying.
My Review
I was keen to try this new launch because I really admire the Dr Sam’s take on complexion, and the Gossamer Tint SPF50 has become a staple part of my routine on days where I want a nice skin perfecting coverage but not a full foundation. What I really like about this eye cream is the instant brightening effect it delivers. It uses an blend of CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Mica, Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide to colour correct, reflect light and add a luminous glow to the skin, so the under eye area looks better right away. Also the inclusion of Niacinamide means that it will work to brighten the skin over time too.
It works really well layered under makeup and can boost the performance of your concealer, especially if you are experiencing skin dullness. I also like a small amount tapped over concealer during the day to amp up the glow and top up hydration levels.
Texture & Application:
It has lightweight, silky texture that absorbs really well. You only need half a pump for both eyes gently patted in, and it is doesn’t feel sticky or heavy—just smooth and hydrating.

Who Is It For?
This will be great for anyone looking to improve brightness in the eye area, boost hydration and make sure the skin barrier is cared for. It is ideal for day time with it’s illuminating makeup-like properties.
If you’re someone who prefers a richer, creamier eye cream, you might find this too lightweight and but you could always layer it with a richer cream for extra hydration. Final Thoughts
Dr Sam’s Flawless Brightly Eye Serum is smartly formulated, easy to use, and effective without being overcomplicated. It ticks all the boxes for me: hydrating, brightening, smoothing, and gentle.
I think it is well priced at £40 as you only need the tiniest amount, and it really makes your concealer work a lot harder. It’s also great for no makeup days, as the brightening properties just give you that little extra something that really wakes up your complexion.
It is super hydrating and moisturising with ingredients like Shea Butter, Mango Seed Oil and Glycerin, plus it offers tonnes of barrier support in the shape of Ectoin (2025’s hot barrier boosting and pollution protection ingredient). It is also antioxidant packed and has lots of soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits.
